The AENC forms part of the Spanish Association of Water Sports Resorts (AEEN). The AEEN was set up in 1998 initially with three destinations: Mar Menor (Murcia), L’Estartit-Illes Medes (Girona) and Tarifa (Cadiz). Currently the AEEN is made up of 25 water sports resorts spread out along the Spanish coast and involves 38 towns and 8 autonomous regions. Being a member of AEEN is a mark of quality that guarantees the professionalism of the staff and material. A municipality only gains the status of water sports resort after passing exhaustive controls carried out by the Spanish Association. Therefore, the services and attention offered by these water sports resorts are of the highest quality and are totally professional.
